Classic Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
A blend of vinegars aged 12-18 years using the classic Solera method. Use as a base for salad dressing or put a Classic spin on your favorite marinade.
True balsamic vinegar is made from a reduction of pressed Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes. The resulting thick syrup, called mosto cotto in Italian, is subsequently aged for a minimum of 12 years in a battery of seven barrels of successively smaller sizes. The casks are made of different woods like chestnut, acacia, cherry, oak, mulberry, ash, and, in the past, juniper. True balsamic vinegar is rich, glossy, deep brown in color and has a complex flavor that balances the natural sweet and sour elements of the cooked grape juice with hints of wood from the casks.
First tasted at Seattle flower show. Since I live in Friday harbor I order by mail. Appreciate free shipping reduction from $100 to $60!!!
Nothing compares. Nothing.
I've been searching for the absolute best tasting aged balsamic... and this is it! Try it and and you will never use anything else! I am even taking it on my 5 star cruise because I know they won't have anything even close to it! In addition to being able to use this alone... with or without out any olive oil.... I mix it with avocado and chicken... yum! Think about it.... REAL virgin olive oil is SO nutritious. Forget "salad dressings" made with yucky oils... be good to your body... and taste buds. Hang the cost, darn it, taste IS important.
I order this by the case, because I use it almost every day. Add a bit of extra virgin olive oil for a simple yet tasty salad dressing.
Their Classic Aged Balsamic is amazing and highly recommend. Great quality and the price is terrific.
