Raspberry Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
Sweet, tart and rich! Glaze grilled chicken with this vinegar or serve it over Dark Chocolate Linguine, vanilla ice cream and fresh berries!
True balsamic vinegar is made from a reduction of pressed Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes. The resulting thick syrup, called mosto cotto in Italian, is subsequently aged for a minimum of 12 years in a battery of seven barrels of successively smaller sizes. The casks are made of different woods like chestnut, acacia, cherry, oak, mulberry, ash, and, in the past, juniper. True balsamic vinegar is rich, glossy, deep brown in color and has a complex flavor that balances the natural sweet and sour elements of the cooked grape juice with hints of wood from the casks.
The flavor in these products out do anything I have ever used. Used my small bottle up way to fast and ended up buying MYSELF 2 new big bottles. a little expensive but, will have to learn to use less. NOT. \
I love this raspberry balsamic vinegar - especially on spinach strawberry salad. It has a wonderful full bodied flavor and the viscosity adds so much to my enjoyment.
I use it for many things, from spinach salad, to a topping on vanilla ice cream. Great flavor!
We love the raspberry vinegar for spinach/raspberry/kiwi salads and also as a low calorie dressing with Costco’s sweet kale salad. It is so flavorful. We have moved to California from Washington, but I still order the OMG! Products even though I can’t get them locally anymore.
We first picked this up while on vacation in Seattle. It has become our family favorite that we eat with nearly anything! Happily ordered more and loved how quickly it came. Thank you!
