Classic Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
A blend of vinegars aged 12-18 years using the classic Solera method. Use as a base for salad dressing or put a Classic spin on your favorite marinade.
True balsamic vinegar is made from a reduction of pressed Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes. The resulting thick syrup, called mosto cotto in Italian, is subsequently aged for a minimum of 12 years in a battery of seven barrels of successively smaller sizes. The casks are made of different woods like chestnut, acacia, cherry, oak, mulberry, ash, and, in the past, juniper. True balsamic vinegar is rich, glossy, deep brown in color and has a complex flavor that balances the natural sweet and sour elements of the cooked grape juice with hints of wood from the casks.
I’ve been ordering this for years. The thickness makes it perfect for salads and the balanced taste makes it an excellent addition to many sauces, or over most meats.
My favorite well balanced balsamic for so many dishes and dressing
We have been using this product for a number of years. We generally purchase at the home shows or events here in eugene. This time I ordered three bottles because the shipping was less. Can't live without it. We use it on everything even on top of other salad dressings to give us all at this wonderful the complex balsamic flavoring. Never found another balsamic vinegar that couldn't match this one.
Best in the world! In some recipes that require reduced, you don’t have to waste the time!
We bought this vinegar for the very first time about 8 or 9 years ago on farmers market and it became our family favorite. For all of the recipes where you can use balsamic vinegar there is no a better choice, especially for the salad with fresh cherry tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. 5 simple ingredients (plus back pepper) and there is no anything tastier than that.
